Easyfeeder Top AS with hopper type EBT-T-AS - feeding the digester with renewable raw materials
The Easyfeeder FA solids feeder with hopper, type EBT-T-AS, is designed for feeding the digester with renewable raw materials (RRM) such as grass and maize silage or similar biomass. Also more challenging materials, such as all kinds of manure, can be added without difficulty.
In the case of the EBT-T-AS solids feeding system with hopper, a loader fills the solid feedstock into the hopper. The feeding volume can be increased by installing an attachment on the hopper. Inside the hopper, the separating screws break up and pre-dose the feedstock. The inclined screw conveyor transports the substrate to the feed screw conveyor which feeds the separated material into the digester in the final step.
Already during the development of the proved and tested feeding technology, the focus has been on minimising energy consumption and wear.
The EBT-T-AS with hopper is characterised by a simple and robust design. This makes the solids feeder particularly user-friendly and easy to maintain.
The system can be controlled directly at the unit via an optional stand-alone control cabinet or using the main control system of the biogas plant depending on the specific project. The user only has to program the pause and operating times. As an alternative to time-based control, the system can be controlled based on weight.
All drives are equipped with adjustable load monitoring. The interval control with automatic reversing function in the event of overload ensures smooth and trouble-free operation.

EBT-T-AS with hopper - designed in line with the 2006/42/EC Machinery Directive
The EBT-T-AS with hopper has been designed in line with the 2006/42/EC Machinery Directive and is conditionally approved for operation in potentially explosive atmospheres.




Structure of the Easyfeeder Top AS with hopper type EBT-T-AS
The unit consists of a trough that accommodates a main conveyor screw. The separating screws are installed with a lateral offset. A multi-segment hopper above the trough forms the storage reservoir. From the storage reservoir, a inclined screw conveyor transports the substrate to the feed screw conveyor. The feed screw then pushes the substrate into the digester. Two separating screws provide for uniform feeding in the hopper. All housings of running screws are protected against abrasion by replaceable plastic inserts. To prevent corrosion damage, the trough and the screw housings are made of stainless steel (V2A).









Control of the Easyfeeder Top AS with hopper type EBT-T-AS
The plant is controlled by an overall plant control system or by the optional stand-alone control cabinet. Control can be manual or automatic.
In automatic mode, the solids feeder is controlled automatically.
Set the H-0-A (Hand-0-Auto) switch at the operator panel to "H" or "A". In manual mode, the plant will run for an indefinite period of time (but with a runtime limitation programmed in the control system). In automatic mode, the plant will operate at the intervals specified in the main control system. In automatic mode, you can start an additional interval at any time by pressing the "Start Intervall" button. The plant starts to operate with the preset delay times in the following order:
